hummm,, creo simplemente que en mi caso votare por quien tiene claridad en el tema de sostenibilidad y cambio climatico y veo lamentablemente que solo uno la tiene clara con respecto a combustibles fosiles, y por este votare para alcalde , voto por la evolucion y bueno varias veces hablo de buses electricos, independizarse de combustibles fosiles , otros hablaron de vivienda, de construccion , de pavimentacion, que son temas correlacionados pero el directo culpable son los GEI generados en su inmesa mayoria por los automoviles de esta gran ciudad y solo uno lo supo esto es claridad y vision estrategica por eso para esta persona es mi es voto

My Trojan horse approach to facilitate sustainable change on a capitalistic world:

Most organizations look sustainability as a side objective or not a clear real driver to adopt it , of course we all know that sustainability is the most important asset that any organization of our days and future must assume ,however there still is a huge lack of understanding. There most be an new approach for companies, business or organizations, a way to adopt sustainability on more pragmatic way :

Back in K town Sweden many of my former classmates knew about this social approach, basically and by knowing the social capitalistic language codes we have to implement solutions using these codes as for example savings, sales, etc basically showing the numbers! on potential real projects to our clients , of course one most show this numbers with solid studies that support these figures, once our client is in the ah ha moment and see the $$$ benefits, and then, they hired you! ,you start to show these numbers (may take some months initially) by implementing the eco solutions that drives savings, sales and other economic benefits by for example eco-efficiencies, then, the real change starts by implementing the Trojan horse strategy that is changing people minds and hearts trough coaching (ei. FSSD) and measurable matters (ei. green balance scorecard ) that ensure the right path towards a real sustainable vision. Is always difficult to find an organization to implement the Trojan horse but once you really implemented is great how it really becomes part of the DNA of people and organizations. Once they adopted for their initial ($) driver, then, it can not be stop it anymore: a Trojan horse.

Whose to blame on the Oil Spill of the Gulf of Mexico?, I should say there are two answers; 1. the Easy answer BP,, 2. the real answer is US! Yea our society is the one to blame we are addict to dirty oil, unfortunable these are the kind of catastrophes’ that become a wake up call for governments to shift to clean energy, I remember back in Sweden we present the case of BP Solar and BP Wind as cases in which the oil industry is trying to shift towards a sustainable clean energy , after the gulf spill catastrophes and the fact that BP may have their final days on a medium term due the law suits, clean up payments and the most important nobody will like to make business with such a company,, I am wondering shouldn´t consider create an capitalized as much as they can their efforts on sustainable clean energy , I mean there a lot of people that work on BP and BP trade mark is now totally associated to major pollution, etc, an strategic advisor a good one will see this as an opportunity to redirect efforts into a sustainability path sort of offsetting their major previous mistakes, helping somehow in the recovery of the gulf, put all or most of their revenues into clean energy and sustainable projects , eliminate at maximum their drilling operation, or gradually shift it core business into clean energy and sustainability. Anyway the gulf of Mexico, all it´s biodiversity, the people of the zone areas the real victims or I should say we are victims of our major and sick dependency on oil. Of course as you all may know: WE MUST CHANGE!, However and unfortunable we need major steps from our governments, leaders and companies. The good thing you can do a lot to reduce or ELIMINATE the oil consumption on a personal scale, so at the end it´s a matter of CHANGE or not , or I should say Change will come but when? , can we do it before is to late?,, sometimes I am afraid that will takes us many catastrophes like this or whorst,, such is humane nature. One only can really hope that we dont have to deal with this issues no more.

For a long time I have wonder how this thing of sustainability principles can be really taken by our society but then and just by observing our society you can see that there is a growing lack of principles and values in our society in general regardless religions or dogmas, the “westernized” ideology is pretty much spread all over the world thanks to television, internet, etc, of curse I do not want to sound moralist or something like that, but the true is that the lack of principals and values bring a new set of rules or principals if there are any, in fact the new set of values if we can call them like that are totally based on the economic power , materialistic ,looks , as matter of fact the westernized society will honor and empower a person who is both successfully economically and “pretty” , that is the real model to follow and in order to pursuit this, persons will do anything to achieve it. So one person that already has “evolutioned” sort of speaking and know that sustainability is the right path and the principles have to be taken for many in our society this persona will assume that there is hopeless to bring values and principles’ to this degree of anarchic of a capitalistic world.

So how to maintain the right track, the sustainability track based on principles’ ?

My thesis perhaps if the market changes rapidly and then the models are “green models” “sustainability” as “chick” etc, then maybe , things will make this whole mass of lethargic undeveloped persons to really grow, and take this principles’ as part of their DNA, and

how can one do such a thing?.

By having strong principles’ and maintaining sharp values, the true is that if peoples do not see you consequent with your values and principles’ , your credibility and any message that you try to present just do not have any validity at all what so ever, and if people recognized you for your values and principles and point you as a crazy person or a visionary that at the end is what a leader is made of, following its convictions ,principles’ and values, so at the end I gues what just saying is that no matter how hard it is ,, never, never lets forget what our values and principles are ,and stick to them that is our best way really to change our decaying world !

I remember back in Karlskrona –Sweden while attending the master we had a deep discussion about how come there are so many already proven technologies, clean technologies, green procedures, etc and so disperse and never the less not implemented but in a few envisioned countries and corporations, and then we started to talk about many social and economic theories but ad the end we all concurred that the there must be a drastic shift in what rules our current way of life, most of our occidental way of life is ruled by neoliberal and an economic system based on consumism and non renewal energies.

As I rememberd the basic of policy making and that human behaviors will change and adapt if the conditions are given, change will ocurr in a faster time than we suspect, as the book “The New Economy of Nature , The quest to make Conservation Profitable” by Gretchen C.Daily and Katherine Ellison” : “just as there are threshold in ecosystem ,there are threshold in human behavior, times when cultural evolution moves unexpectedly rapidly. We saw that in dramatic progress in racial justice in the 1960s,the surprise decline of American birthrates in the 70s and the utterly unexpected fall of the Berlin wall and dissolution of the soviet union in the early 1990.

When the time is ripe, society can be transformed virtually overnight”. I am totally positive about this change that is happening now, in fact is GREAT!!,, we need it as society, we need it to reshape the whole thing and the fact that is taking place in the ;leader of our global economic current system the United States with a person that per se is a change for himself, I think that is not just healthy but really necessary, for this new process that we must face as society if we want to prevail in this planet

Well, The last 4 months and my return to Costa Rica my home town had turn my life again 180 degrees, It was a real turn over , It was good experience working with Swedish Electrolux , had good times and help them on their regional marketing strategies focused on the benefits of more efficent home appliances, now, I am helping them but as a freelance, which is great , this let me work more strategiclly on my projects. here some pics of my last 4 months. the first one is a huge volcano by the offshore of Nicaragua, then Dominican Reupblic, my Flat in San Jose, my Eco/efficient car (hopefully I'll have on the future a Hidrogen car ! ,,jejej , hope sooner than later, anyway here is my alternative when I can not walk or take the Public tranportation system, mean while: I have this little peugeot 206 Natural Gas modified and with certified Co2 stiker for carbon mitigation, I am working in on a better alternative) then party night in San Jose and trying to make some exercise. And if you ever come to central america go to Buffalo Wings BW (Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras and Nicaragua.Not in CR yet) , from one great friend and he is focusing the whole operation into sustainable process and practics, as i.e making and using Biodiesel , and the food is just great,, if you like spice ,this is the place. The night city picture is Guatemala City from my Hotel, yea, I know my Carbon footprint increase a lot,, and belive me I did calculated and I am in the process of offseting this. the last tree pictures is just a bit of the beauty of Costa Rica , Playa Tamarindo and Puerto Viejo at the Costarrican caribean, just little snacks of a country like this where 25% of its territory is protected ,every one have free education (up to universidad de Costa Rica) and one of the few on this planet without Army, ok, Adios amigos and PURA VIDA!,,Until the next one!

I just can not understand how there still people questioning cientific facts, such as the one in which more 2,000 of the most important minds on the planet!!!! gather about climate change and make hundres of analysis, and present it as unquestionable fact!,persons of the common or normal persons give personal opinions their own reasons and many times tird grade leavel comments, really, is like anyone is telling Einstein that teory of relativy does not exist and is just a mith,, I really find these iletracy non sense commentaries a real paradox of our times, people whitout any really cientific knowledge are giving, or trying to give so called calified commentaries that add more missleading to the rest of the world, on a planet which needs actions Now, then To day Al Gore has been award whit the Peace Nobel price and there are voices, many, belive it or not of such unqualified persons raising these non sense and laud voices that all is a political issue, that the whole thing is bull, that global warming or climate change is a mith,that all is just a missleading from Al Gores machinary and Mr. Gore´s personal interest, Belive it or not! just can make any sense how idiotic can a human being be, yea a human being perhaps aN Australopithecus could be more inteligent than this idiots, at least this primary hominids will have the common sense that they must take care of their house and their living habitat or die!(check one of the best books for me to try to understand basic human behavior : Desmond Morris.the naked Ape),any so called inferior species will take care of its habitat, there is not one on this planet as destructive as ours, and then ,I can not explain,really , this new specimen of felow humans in our days that act like the world is unlimited, that resources will be there for ever,oil will never finish!!! and the worst that all that Increasing resulting CO2 is not cousing global warming, just becouse,,well.... they said so!,,as I said tird level or unevololutionied ,just dont make any sense. Marine Biodisel - Ecoefficiencies on the Colombian Atlantic and Pacific Coast-Bringing some sustainability small steps on the colombian caribean

Last week ECG start a big analysis on an important corporation here in Colombia their business is manly focused on marine logistics and marine transport , we are at the gathering of information step and already we have had found many opportunities and savings areas,, hopefully this project will start soon and we could make it as another example of how being sustainable (Clean) and adopting strategic sustainable development measurements that can pay them well and make the company an example to follow .
Here some pictures of the work we are right know.

On more personal scale now that I am single again (no constraints for now) my intention is to let our corporation s ECG here in Bogota self-sufficient and the start what It was my dream since I went to Sweden on first place , the creation of my company on Costa Rica my home town and where my friends really are, hopefully this dream is coming closer and closer and just limited to the production level of ECG-Bogotá.

So if everything goes according whit planning by mid July or beginning of august ECG –San Jose will become a reality.

Hope everything is going Groovy!! For all my pals,, funny but the more I heard negative and negations on the sustainability field the more that I get involve on showing these close minded people how this really is working and becoming an non debatable reality.

Hola to all my friends,

So this is my latest up date, for those who are familiar whit catholic cultures, last week was holy week which means that basically that week is just for praying and there is not commerce or labor activities specially good Tuesday and Friday , reminds me when I was a year ago in Ktown, and my praying whit Aldo at the little chapel at Ktown, ok, so afther this week, here is my update;
A week before “holy week” I had the opportunity to “travel” to Punta Iguana that is on Baru Island on the Colombian Caribbean close to Cartagena also at the Colombian Caribbean, Punta Iguana which is a Nautical Club and requires 45 min in boat to get there, wants me to see or better Explore possibilities for implementing sustainable solutions after the 3 day trip and pre-diagnostic, I did find huge possibilities to implement them on this site, the final result will make this Club located by the way on a National park an Example of the whole region, we intend to implement real solutions that will present potential measure savings and will work on the swift process of this Club towards sustainable tools and using the TNS-ABCD, here I have attached some pictures of this place, one picture of the biking ride at my final day, and the last picture are here in Bogotá whit one my best friend Mako who came to visit Bogotá during this peaceful days.
Right now we at ECG are firmly working on the Hotel la Fontana member of one of the biggest regional hotel chains , we ´ll see how it goes.

Ok , a little “brake” here taking care of the dogs “Rhodesians” , these dogs are just unbelievable nice and love to spend a short time whit these big crazy dogs once on a while I am in this farm whit the new bro´s family , another nice thing is that we might start a nice sustainable project at this site, hopefully making this farm as a real model,, I wont be talking about today’s Bush visit to Bogotá,, comments are extra if you see my previous post. Bueno, Bueno,, I been “Danzing” trough the good and evil these days, News (Caracol Tv) here in Bogotá present as if U.S President “Bush” is trying to make a good deal for his country,, perhaps will be if you look it under the “simple” “economic” old fashioned” Imperialistic or colonialist way –exploitation and then leave whit any thing to return to the land and people but explotaiton only, in which Latin-American have been submerge for the many centuries, the worst part is that some people in our Latino American countries still having second thoughts and not understating the whole implications of focused the FUEL production just in one commoditie or commodities that are by the way - vital for a our peoples feed, then this news network "Caracol Tv" as an example of its total lack of understanding of the situation and not having a clue of what is sustainability, tried to make an analogy between the good deal of Bush “mistaken move” in Brazil whit EU´s yesterday decision for adopting renewable and a set of sustainable measures to being energy efficient , to reduce the GHG , oil dependency but here is not due the security aspects but for a much priority reasons that concern’s our own life in this planet “a real and proven climate change” , TOTALLY DIFERENT MOVES!,
Anyway, I remember that the first thing they present to us on the Master leadership towards sustainability was that there is not just one magic solution and to depend on just one can be a major STRATEGIC mistake, even if the Security factor which is being U.S major driver and motivation factor for finished their old nasty oil dependency, they must understand that there is not just a matter of adopting only ethanol for their vehicles, is a little more complex than that , the consequences if Brazil or the rest of Latino America adopt the “white house” policy of producing the fuel for the U.S demand just of one renewable product such as the ethanol, will be catastrophic as the price of basic commodities will sky rocket high, the economic growth yes may be up for a short while and, then , when this has comes, the curve will dramatically come down and this time wont be recourses and the cost will be; most of our still rich forest that we had our rich biodiversity was long go away, the commodities,, well ,, buying sugar will be a luxury ,, tortillas wont be mass produced any no more because of the high price of the raw materials, ,land will be concentrate just in a few hands, more social unrest, more un equilibrium on the already pretty much divided Latin America, etc. etc, all of this for having the vey limited thinking of just thinking in one and only one solution for the Oil problem and what bader me the most, is that the U.S still rejecting the fact of Climate change,, here there is a slang that says; “there is not a worst blind that those blinds that doesn’t wanna see “, I have always criticized President of Venezuela-Hugo Chavez, but I have confess that in many occasions like the last days this guy makes good commentaries and open the eyes of many on this part of the world but showing that the solution for a sustainable world , a cleaner world or “Oil dependency” as the U.S is focused on need more deeper analyses and strategic one, sustainable strategic decisions that requires system understanding of the problem. You may wonder why do I care about this,, unfortunably our “developing” countries still on a north-south relationship and what ever the U.S president take as policies will replicate on this “followers” economies-states 80% soberan´s. So going to topic, The U.S state of the Union, well I was expecting this speech for quite some time, weird how a leader can be out of focused and so un strategic still missing the whole picture and focused only on minor details, and yea finally surprise, surprise all the elite of the U.S have priorized ; Security first and then climate change? How is that , I guess the true reason may be because there is only one year on Irak perhaps? Time is runing out to U.S keep oil reserves!, ha? there must be security ensured before climate change,, humm??,, weird how do you have security if you don’t have a planet? Climate change, Oil dependant yes, but his reading of the “challenge” is ; security reasons,, well,, the pour guy still missing the point! and has never understand the root of the problem , same as happens whit the Lebanon – Israel issue, and many many more, I guess those top advisors from Harvard and Yale have all figure it out, right?,, unreal!.

Finalmente lo que escuche hace una año en Karlskrona toma forma, Hoy me he levantado con la noticia de que la UE adoptará como politica de la únion, la mitigación de los Gases Invernadero y sobre todo incentivar la adopción de tecnologías sostenibles dentro de sus paises miembros , todo esto dentro de un gran paquete de politicas e incentivos que lograran que Europa definitivamente lideré este cambio Fundamental, que se quiera o no tendrá que adoptarse a nivel global, aún mas interesente es las medidas "correctivas" por parte de la UE para fomentar las eficeincias energeticas, empresas que sean "ineficientes" energeticamente seran sancionadas, de este modo se fomenta el uso racional,eficiente -eco-eficiente, ahora esperar que entos lares "Latino America" la curva de aprendizaje no sea tan lenta y se empiecen a emular estas practicas.
Por otro lado se habla de la estrategía de U.S en Irak, y la posibilidad de enviar mas tropas, la metalidad Obtusa continua, y lo simpatico es que en un articulo de la BBC muestran como los europeos en una grandisima mayoria mas del 90 % piensan que el cambio climatico y sus implicaciones tienen mayor relevancia que la guerra en Irak , etc, es cada día mas grande el "Gap" EVOLUTIVO que existe en la clase politica y "desitionmakers" en Europa vs U.S., ha lo olvidaba hoy he visto en varios noticieros como los Osos no pueden Invernar en Rusia por que hace mucho calor, la noticia que se presenta es; pobrecillos que calor, tan divinos no pueden dormir, Absurdamente las noticias no se preguntan sobre el cambio climatico y los efectos de este que ya son innegables, las mismas noticas dan parte de alegría y entusiasmo por que en europa se vive un "mini verano" y mucha gente esta haciendo su agosto en las playas ,,, Pero nunca se questionan sobre el efecto invernadero y esto si es falta total de vision . Lo bueno es que a diferencia de la falta de capacidad e entendimiento de nuetro sistema en la tierra de muchos en la UE hay lideres que si han logrado "Evolucionar" y crecer intelectualmente para cambiar las cosas ha favor de nuestra Tecknosfera ó nuestro planeta y sociedad. Bien.

Here back in Colombia , Today I went to a Car Show here , still I should say more than 90% of the vehicles here are oriented to traditional fuels, there was only one car nicely made on Colombia which is a prove of the tech advance and adaptation of the people of this country the car showing here is a small Efficient car that is totally design under Natural Gas technology which is not the best from merely renewable fuels but it’s work perfectly for Colombia, this car has an engine of 1,300 cc and is high efficent for Cm3 of Gas, the price is also excellent since is only 11 Million pesos which is around 3,500 U$ which is very cheap for a new car here in Colombia, the bad news is that there still a lot of gaps for sustainable cars and energy, the government still need a long way to go and I am afraid that the learning curve have to be reduce or we’ll be going to a certain point of no return, what I can say is that I have start on my own house promoting alternative energies and solutions, mean while, I am trying with Greenflare to introduce the so called “Trojan Horse” which is nothing but short term result translated in Savings for companies as a way to open the eyes of the companies, of curse this goes along with some coaching on sustainability and benefits of adopting in it based principles of TNS

Here we just finished a real frutfull conference on climate change and tools need it to open up markets, yea as logical it was crowed by investment bankers that unfortunably still focus on just one side of the equation = $$$ and left the real sutainabilty factor on many cases a side, not in all of the cases, of course, anyway the objective of the conference itself was to explore means to open up the market of Co2 mitigation taking the Sustainable Development factor in consideration, and our group of highly profesional persons present a excelent presentation on strategic sustainable development, is methodology, and presenting real cases of sustainabilty ,I even talk about Bogota´s Transmilenio , you could tell by the amount of people and questions from bankers,consultants etc, on our side event how high was the level of quality of the presentation conducted by my collegues and thesis parthners; michelle and George, and the excelent comments of Anne and Brendan , I really know by the "post-feedback" of the persons on it, that we really bring the real objective of the whole conference to consideration, make money of curse but social and environmental awareness =SD, I am full of interesting contacts and + potential projects, I will up date this whit some pictures of the conference as soon as I recive it, mean while here is 2 of the faraweel of my friends going back to Sweden and Mich to London, luck and hope two see you really soon, hope in Cartagena

Hello to all my overseas pal´s, Finally I make an english entry at this blog, anyway, here are some pics of my final endeavor, the idea is to help some ranchers close to the capital to be more efficient; eco-efficent ,reducing cost and helping them to understand sutainability, in practical terms the meat production should reduce the extensivise practices so land can be used more efficently for more people whitout compromising the natural resources procuring to restore, the thing is that the erreoneously used of land and on particular land for cattle is destroyng the native forest and its bio deversity with the aggravator that it may never came back. anyway Meat and Cattle is and has ever been on humanity since the begining of human kind this living way must be adresing on a sustainable way ,specially on developing countries where rural and cattle production is way of living so sustainabilty must start in order to find alternatives for growth economical-social whitout compromising the linited nature resources and the most important biodervisty.

Bueno, aqui en Ginebra todos los dias hace un calor de 30 o mas , y una humedad que ni en el Choco,Mañana me embarcare en un Buss que saladrá de aqui por el Square du Mont Blanc por la casa(s) de Frank y de alli un dia por toda Francia para luego por Barcelona llegar a madrid todo el trayecto es de un dia ,saliendo desde las 8 pm y llegando a las 8 a madrid, llegaré y de una a Barajas dejo las maletas en el areopuerto y me regreso para el hostel por huertas de alli al otro dia temprano a las 8 am a comprar pasaje de regreso a Colombia, pienso si todo sale bien llegar el 24 a Bogota, igual y como pasa muy amenudo no se puede y alli si a elaborar plan de contiguencia de último minuto, igual de que llego -llego, bueno por aqui y de estos veinte dias que pase aqui, pues solo me resta esperar y observar, no se puede hacer mas, igual conoci mucha gente y la cuidad que es preciosa. les adjunto algunas fotillos del Palacio de las Naciones , la Cafeteria de la ONU, el edificio donde viví en Jonction"Rue duex ponts 6" y la terraza con vistas de "Le Rho^ne" y la rue deux ponts, bueno nada , hasta la proxima y las fotillas si las hay del viajecillo.

Salida de Karlskrona y Primeros dias en Ginebra-Suiza

Hoy 25 de Mayo del 2006 , Greenflare International es presentada a la comunidad estudiantil del Master aqui en "The common Room" en BTH-Karlskrona-Suecia, presente el proyecto, el contexto, metodología, potencial ,etc.. de la empresa, "el lanzamiento" arranco a las 10 am y se extendio pasadas las 11 am hoy dia festivo en Suecia, sinembargo y aunque era un día festivo a el arranque de la empresa asistieron la mayoría de las personas que quería y que realmente valen la pena, aqui adjunto algunas fotos del lanzamiento oficial de Greenflare International aqui en BTH-Karlskrona. Tristemente tambien me despedí de mi amigos hoy, a muchos los veré en el camino otros muy dificilmente.

La defensa Final de nuestra Tesis; Un Exito!

Bueno, hoy en la mañana fue nuestra defensa final, yo arranque explicando el contexto y lel por que de nuestra tesis con las preguntas academicas, etc, luego presente unos graficos sobre la demanda de CERT´s y la importancia de la emision de estos a travez de MDL´s, me "trabe" un poquitillo , mi ingles me jugo una mala pasadilla pero "el poder de la adaptación" salio a flote y muy bien!, la presentación se extendio y luego las preguntas de nuestro "shadow group" Primary advisors y los demas estudiantes, nos fue tan bien que fue considerada como de las mejores o mas "substancial" de todas, la verdad, estoy o estamos muy orgullosos del producto final, lamentablemente nos hubiese encantado tener mas tiempo para evaluar resultados puntuales. pero los resultados presentados son los suficientemente concretos para validar nuestra herramienta "CDM Select" , aqui algunas fotillos del dia hoy durante la presentación final.

Mi cumpleaños 35, Mas Monumentos y despedida de Roma Yayo ,Massi e los Ragazzi

Bueno, Esto va sonar medio pretencioso pero es real, cumpleaños 18 ; Oklahoma City, Cumpleaños 21; Sinai Egipto, Cumpleaños 25; San Jose-Costa Rica, Cumpleaños 30 Bogota en medio de un proyecto Banco Santander y ahora mi cumpleaños 35 con mi primilla la pasamos primero en la casa de Fransesca una super amiga de Yayo con una moto mas grande que ella pero se le ve super bien, en el apartamento estaba todo el grupo fuerte de amigos del club de motos, Mario, Guisepe que ademas es Carabinieri, Fransesca, Yayo, Mario2, massi, pepe, gianfranco, realmente unos amigazos!! ese dia comimos una pasta riquisima hecha por Francesca, y tomamos una copilla de vino, solo uno, por lo ellos manejan, eso si super responsables, al otro dia o mejor tarde el dia de mi cumple otra cena con como 3 platos y un monton de amigos motociclistas preparado por los papas de un motociclista , la comida riquisima y super queridos los señores ,me dieron torta y todos digo como unas 30 personas me desearon "Tanti Auguri" por mi cumpleaños, ya al otro dia y último dia de hacer cosas en Roma mas patoneada, casi todo el dia la pase en el museo del vaticano, talvez, el mas increible que he visto en mi vida con el de Vassa en stockholmo, camine y vi mas monumentos , demasiadas fotos para subir, ya el Viernes por la noche "Mi despedida" en"Fabrica Clandestina" por san giovanni, un trafico de la maddona pero pasamos bien chevere, con el mistico , Gianfranco y otros amigos ,llegamos tardecillo para un par de horas despues Yayo y Massi llevarme a Roma-Ciampiano de regreso a Stockholmo y ya en mi etapa final de este Master. espero que ya el cumpleaños 40 sea ya mas "settle down" jeje

Bueno como empezar, llegue el 3 de mayo a la Hermosisima Cuidad eterna de Roma y de entrada cambio de Clima + 25 grados centigrados algo que no sentia hace mucho tiempo, me recogio Yayo en Roma Ciampino, llegamos al apartamento por cierto divino , super bien ubicado y los gatos son preciosos tambien, bueno, de inmediato Yayo me presento con su "Gallada" o como dicen en Costa Rica "La canalla" , el grupo ,bueno sin palabras, que gente mas querida y amable de inmediato me acepatorn en su grupo, un grupo super unido que da gusto ver, la casa de Yayo es como el centro de operaciones y logistico del grupo, bueno ese primer dia empeze a usar la palabra que me útilize durante esos 10 dias ; Troppo Stanco!! que en castellano "colombianizado" significa; estoy mamado!, y no es que este muy mal de estado fisico (por que mas bien si lo estoy,jeje) sino que desde ese primer dia que nos fuimos a dormir a la 2 am o algo asi me levantaba como a eso de las 1o o 11 am y me almorzaba en una de las pizzerias de via nomentana, luego a "Patonear y patonear" mientras yayo trabajaba, yo hablando Spañolo-Itailano o algo asi me daba entender pero es que el Italiano se puede entender bien a veces depende que tan concentrado ando (94.1% o no yayo?,jeje) bueno, eso si me conoci casi toda Roma ,digo casi por que creo que se necesitan meses solo dedicado a eso ,es verdaderamente impresionante y monumental, esta primera entrega de fotos es un pequeño abre bocas, mañana ingreso mas y fotos de los paseos y aventurillas en Roma. a por cierto estas fotos son con mi camara nueva ya que la que tenia se daño , pero esta toma unas fotos con una calidad muy superior, las primeras fotos las registro el 7 de mayo hay cientos pero por tamaño me toca selecionar algunas, estas son; Massi y Yayo, Yayo y yo (Saliendo de rumba), Yo en la Moto de Guissepe, el grupo a orillas del lago comiendo buenissimo, y empiezan los paseos y las salidas, que rico pase , GRACIAS YAYO Y MASSI!! , en la proxima todo lo de Roma, sus estructuras y mas del club de motociclistas Romano Bike 4 all y sus Integrantes.

Vehiculos a ETHANOL y Västervik

Hola pues ayer, fuimos mis compañeros de tesis y yo a esta cuidad "Västervik" a 250 de Karlskrona y otros 200 y pico de Stockholmo, bien bonita fue antiguo "bastion" durante el reinado de Vassa y el poderio naval sueco del siglo 17 (solo estuve una hora alli me regresé a Karlskrona en tren-largismo!) , fuimos en plan de trabajo para mostrar nuestros avances de la tesis a una consultora de PNUD en NY que esá trabajando en los CDM y los Objetivos de Milleniun , super la retroalimentación que nos dio esta muchacha , pero lo mejor del viaje es el uso ya "masificado" en toda suecia de los vehiculos "flexifuel" este volvo último modelo 2006 se tanquea con 85 % de ethanol y da un ahorro muy significativo por usar etahnol vs gasolina ademas de esas razones es LIMPIO no produce contaminación o es minima por el 25 % que de gasolina pero hay estaciones en toda Suecia, la gente lo compra por que ademas de ser limpio permite ahorros , es económico y muy efficiente , las personas que decian que estos carros no tienen fuerza , nada que ver, tiene igual o talvez mas fuerza (octanaje mayor el ethanol+gasolina) que a gasolina, el carro se maneja "identico" , cualquier carro nuevo a gasolina. bueno aqui adjunto las fotillas, super suave el carro , ademas de comodo y super silencioso(una nave). por ahora es todo, una abrazo a todos.

Peer per Group # 2 -La Segunda prueba!

Hoy tuvimos nuestro "peer per Group # 2" presentamos los avances de la tesis y nos fue muy bien , de hecho super bien, presentamos una herramienta "tipo london o Plexus"(pero mas grafica que con alguna tabal dinamica o macros) realizada en excel con algo de talento chibchombiano para apoyar y facilitar el Desarrollo sostenible de los Mecanismos de Desarrollo Limpios MDL o CDM´s como soporte o apoyo a nuestra tesis, el tema es que los MDL o CDM son herramientas importantisimas y si bien su principal función es la mitigación de dioxido de Carbono son también herramientas valiosisímas para el desarollo sostenible el problema sinembargo que hemos identificado y analizado apoyados por varios documentos, es que estos en algunas ocaciones pueden derivarse por el camino equivocado y en ves de traer un beneficio podría traer efectos colaterales, esta no es la media pero puede darse al no haber una vision y claridad de lo que es "desarrollo sostenible" nosotros en nuestra tesis demostramos con documentos soportes como la falta de una vision clara y objetivos basados en principios definidos de exito pueden generar malas interpretaciónes de lo que es desarrollo sostenible vs. un proyecto basado en estos principios claros de exito, es como tener "los 10 mandamientos" de como llegar a la sostenibilidad si hay unos principios definidos el exito es facil visualizarlo y compartirlo, bueno en fin , la herramienta desarrollada busca ser un "facilitador" de estos proyectos para la busqueda de ser verdaderos instrumentos para el desarrollo sostenible desde nuestro punto de vista y no desde la algo viciada muy aceptada interpretación del la Triple button line de Brundtland; "Economia,Ecologia y Social".

Bueno, hace rato no escribía algo en el Blog, estamos "mas concentradillos que cubito maggi" en el el tema de la Tesis, el tema de este es ; "From Clean Development to Strategic Sustainable Development: Strategic planning for the Clean Development Mechanism " De un desarrollo Limpio a un Desarrollo Estrategicamente Sostenible ; Planeación Estratégica para los Mecanismos de Desarrollo Limpios MDL, y ya tenemos un plan de acción, actividades, cronogramas, metas y objetivos , estamos reuniéndonos 2 ó 3 veces por semana, solo cuando es requerido por que los otros dos integrantes del grupo viven en Karlskrona -Centrum y con este Frió tan "bestial" ,,no gracias!.. por esto tratamos de movernos lo menos posible, y si... ya tengo que ir a un gim... estoy un "toquecillo" pasado de peso... pero ya estoy en dieta y algunos ejercicios. también le estoy trabajando en mis ratillos libres al proyectillo de la empresa, pinta bien , ya tengo un producto bien diferenciado y posible clientes para ella , detalles de esta lo haré en próximos días, adjunto fotos de ; "la office" clavado investigando y leyendo , Jhon "the flatmate"; es medio loco, genio pero muy buena gente y otra de la fiestilla de despedida (de regreso a Madrid) de uno de los integrantes de la Colonia Española , amigazo y ya una "baja" sensible en la colonia hispana aquí en Karlskrona (Colonia de 8 integrantes o menos), hablar español por aquí es "re-exótico", bueno continuaré estudiando y espero "traducir al español la propuesta en estos días y la adjunto a este blog. La Tesis (Plan de Acción)en la oscura y bien bajo cero Karlskrona!

Bueno ya aqui estoy con mis compañeros de Tesis ; Mitchell de Canada, George de U.S y yo el "Latino" colombo-costarricence, tratando de buscar un plan de acción para "atacar" la tesis, estamos evaluando varias posibilidades para la el desarrollo de esta como se ven en las fotos, vamos primero oviamente a hacer un "resarch" profundo y luego el analisis para llegar a la hypotesis , tambien hay un viaje planeado a Colonia- Alemania para el tema de la mitigación de dioxido de carbono donde ademas de ser un super ecsenarios de contactos para implementación de soluciones de altismo nivel para el desarrollo sostenible, No es barato pero tampoco será muy caro si lo hacemos con tiempillo y bien planeado por ahora el tema de la tesis nos tiene "clavadillos" .

Presentaciones Finales antes de la Tesis y Dias Super Frios!!!!

Karlskrona ahora esta bajo varias pulgadas de Nieve, y continua creciendo , no ha parado de nevar desde el jueves y la temperatura sigue bajando ahora estamos a menos 8 grados centigrados, dificulta mucho tener reuniones asi que estamos útilizando al maximo las conferencias virtuales y todo el uso de la internet, estamos ahora mas enfocados en el tema de la Tesis mas que nada , aqui envio algunas fotillas de mi presentación en Tranporte Sostenible para el año 2050 nuestro equipo se baso en Suecia como modelo actual , aplicamos reduccionismo y substitución de energias para lograr una efficiencia mayor en un escenario donde el tranporte ligado a la teoria de la "doble explosion" osea en el 2050 habra mas gente y por consiguiente mas demanda de transporte y energia para este. El projecto estuvo muy bueno y la parte de Ingenieria nos dio un muy buen feedback , aqui las fotos de la exposición como de la tormeta de nieve en la eu estamos.

Visita de Margot Wallström - Vice-Presidente de la Comisión Europea

Ayer y Hoy tuvimos reuniones con Margot Wallström - Vice-President, European Commission aqui en la U, la primera reunión fue mas que todo una presentación de la estrategia de UE para el desarrollo sostenible en la región, lo ineresante fue esta mañana donde tuvimos una "sección" de preguntas y respuestas en Clase , bueno hubieron de toda clase de preguntas pero yo le lanze una que la dejo "muda" y fue al único en que se comprometio a analizar la pregunta y luego su asistente personal en plene clase me entrego una tarjeta para que por favor le envie la pregunta a el panel de expertos para que me respondan , la pregunta fue muy simple y es como la Union Europea busca fomentar proyectos de desarrollo sostenible en paises del tercer mundo pero a la vez le exige un arrancel de mas de 200 usd por tonelada al Banano de Colombia,Costa Rica y Ecuador, entonces en su calidad de vicepresidenta del la Comision Europea queria saber realmente las politicas de la Union respecto a este "doble estandard" y bueno tendré que envirle la pregunta por mail. aqui va la fotillo de casi toda la clase, falta el contiguente Africano, algunos asiaticos,las rusas y los turcos

Hola bueno finalmente en casa, despues de merecido break ahora retornado a la fase final del master, aqui adjunto fotos de Cardiff con Feoli en el castillo de Caerphilly y fotos de Ginebra en donde me quede en un super apartamento de Frank para luego salir a Paris y tambien quedarme en otro apartamento de Frank en una super zona cerca del "jardin du luxemburg" aqui adjunto unas fotillas, creo que el proposito se cumplio y/o se verá en dias siguientes ademas de ver a mis antiguos colegas y amigos.

Último dia del 2005 en la cafeteria BTH, igual solo iba los viernes

Salimos a Vacaciones este viernes 16 , tambien fue mi último dia de trabajo este año en la cafeteria de BTH ,jeje, aqui van unas fotillos, el Martes bien por la noche me voy a Malmo y de alli salgo a Londres para llegar a Cardiff posiblemente legare a las 11 am en bus el 21, en la foto esta Linda - Sueca - 100%, muy buena amiga, Renee y raquel de Canada, aqui en Karlskrona mas bien poca nieve estos dias, el norte si esta bien frio, bueno creo el proximo update será en Cardiff,

Aspö Xmas!!!

Hola , bueno aqui van las últimas fotos de ayer y de nuestra cena en Aspö en un castillo medieval que aún pertenece a la corona sueca y en los años 40 fue parte de un fuerte de avanzada de la SS Nazi, en el castillo es como estar en el siglo 17 , llegamos de Karlkrona en Ferry como a las 6 y nos recogieron en UN TRACTOR!! super chevere con dos remolques con sillas ,la bandera sueca y adornos de navidad ,oviamente super oscuro ya que desde las 3;3o ya esta oscuro, pero se veian todas las estrllas y una luna llena gigante, bueno alli van unas fotillos , esta es la última semana , el viernes terminamos clases , tengo parcial el jueves , y listo, me ire a Ginebra ,Paris y Gales en UK a pasar navidad y año nuevo con Feoli , aunque dependiendo de que si hay motivos para Suiza Y francia pues oviamente ire de lo contario veré cuando podré tener estas reuniones . Fiestillas en el rudo invierno

La semana que pasó tuvimos unas fiestillas y reuniones con el expresidente de Volvo y nos "capacito" en el enfoque que esta firma tiene hacia el desarrollo sostenible (foto adjunta), luego unas fotos en la fiestilla de bienvenida que siempre se hace cuando llega un catedratico de otras universidades suecas o de otros lados, luego una fotillo con nuestro profesores de ingenieria para el desarrollo sostenible uno es un experto en salsa y el otro en tango,aqui eso es como los mas popular les encanta a estos vikingos, aqui seguimos con muchismos trabajos y bueno casi no hay tiempillos libres ,tenemos que preparar un paper en tranporte global sostenible con un monton de resarch para el 17 de diciembre, último dia del periodo para las vacaciones de invierno , creo que de fijo le caigo a mi amigo juan C Feoli a Wales,UK , luego de ir a Ginebra hablar con Frank sobre UNCTAD y el dess.sostenible, y posteriormente si todo sale según lo planeado iré aParis a una entrevista en ecocarbone a ver si el destino me depará volver al trading desk esta vez con certificados verdes y haciendo algo para reducir el green house effect que ya les puedo garantizar esta mas que demostrado, sorry pero es basatante real, hay estudios que ,bueno silos vieran quedarían estupefactos. bueno sin mas por el momento y hasta un proximo uprgrade!, C-ya!

ThanksGiving, Mas Nieve y Full estudio

Bueno aqui unas fotillos de hoy, del thanksgiving que celabramos en una finca a 30 minutos de Karlskrona, Tipico paisaje rural de Suecia, eso si full nieve ahora si, tambien les adjunto algunas fotillos de mi U, Todos los que aparecen aqui son compañeros de la U, Cnadienses, Gringos, Suecia, Cameron ,Iran,pakistan, Etc. Tambien estamos llenos de trabajos que debemos presentar esta semana por eso no escribo mucho por ahora, lo que si le spuedo decir es que hace un frio, que bueno ni les cuento, pero dentro de las casas por el sistema de calefaccion "sostenible" por suspuesto (con bio disel) se mantiene bien calientillo y muy agardable, bueno por ahora me despido.salud

Bueno aqui estan una fotillos de hoy por la mañana y sigue nevando, estamos a menos 5 grados centrigados, pero en el norte por Estocolmo estan a menos 10 y sigue bajando, ,tambien se esta oscuriciendo mas temprano, pero es la primera navidad con nieve, Las fotos son de esta mañana como les dije, una es en mi conjunto, otra es de la universidad y dos desde el balcon de mi apartamento.

Planta de Biofuel - Biocombustible

Aunque este fue el primer "field Trip" me llamo la atencion por las aplicaiones que puede tener para generacion de energia en pequeñas y medianas poblaciones o como complemento para el manejo de desechos , logrando de este modo un manejo "eficente" de los desechos; reciclaje, productos organicos "fertilizantes"-Composite, y ENERGIA, todo esto oviamente debe estar acompañado por educación y politicas concretas de los gobiernos.

Field Trips y el EST (Ingenieria para el desarrollo sostenible)

Bueno,
Ahora si se puso bueno esto, ya se esta viendo "sustancia", hoy 17 nov fuimos a el botadero de basura de Karlskrona y vimos todas las iniciativas que estan desarrolando, es increible como hay muchisimas tecnologias de bajo costo que no se han implementado en America Latina, este botadero realmente me sirvio como un exelente modelo de como buscar la eficiencia en el manejo de desechos , tambien adjunto fotos de la planta de Biofuel que aqui se usa mas que todo para "heat" o calentamiento de casas y del agua caliente de cada casa, los gases resultantes tambien producen electricidad y la planta entera puede producir energia electrica con lagunas modificaciones. bueno aqui van unas fotillos.

Primeros meses en Karlskrona y El programa en BTH

Bueno, como empezar, la experiencia como cualquier experiencia Internacional representa un cambio total y una prueba a mi "poder de adaptación", de por si el hecho de ser culturalmente Latino representa un desafio, eso con respecto al hecho de estar viviendo aqui en Suecia, ahora bien en cuanto a la academia, hay muchisimos interrogantes, normales para un programa que solo lleva 2 años de iniciado, pero uds. saquen sus propias conclusiones;
el 60 % de el total de los estudiantes vienen de 2 paises; US y Canada.
Hay muchisimos backgrounds academicos y Experiencias de Trabajo en variados sectores.Veremos como se puede fusionar todo esto y que resultados concretos puede salir de esta experiencia.

La experiencia del Master Strategic Leadership towards Sustainability en Karlskrona-Suecia (El inicio)

Aqui empiezo a recopilar mis experiencias en este muy intenso último año; Inicio con de mi trabajo con ATA del Departamento de estado U.S con los Gaulas de la polica y ejercito de Colombia en enero del 2004 hasta septiembre del 2005 , trabajo bien operativo pero lleno de "buenos momentos" .
Mi graduación de los Andes como "Especialista en Negociación y Relaciones Internacionales" fue durante esta etapa en junio del 2004 y cuando empez´con Plexus Consulting trabajando como "Cosultor Internacional" en el proyecto de St.Even en Medellin (www.stevensa.com) buscando una mayor productividad del área Comercial de esta empresa antioqueña.

Iniciando mi segunda etapa con la UNCTAD-United Nations Conference on Trade and Development , arrancamos en LIMA con Jorge Grotret el
Director del proyecto en Bolivia -CEPROBOL.
alli conocimos a nuestra contra parte en Lima-Carlos Chau.
el proyecto del IG-Peru arranco "pisando fuerte".

Déspues de la implementación en Peru y continuar con Bolivia y Colombia respectivamente,Jorge y Yo nos vimos las caras nuevamente en la hermosa Cartagena de Indias en lo que sería el arranque de los e-tools y el "e-regulations" como proyecto "estrella" del DITE con Frank liderandolo, alli conocimos a Lizzie.
el "e-reg" arranco oficialmente en Cartagena con el primer semiario Estrategico que celebramos alli.
donde compartimos varias ideas, enfoques y delineamos el curso de acción de los e-tools con Guilles y el Dr.Grozel.mientras comiamos en excelentes restaurantes en la plaza Sto.Domingo y el Club Nautico de Cartagena, sin descontar la sede del seminario en el Hotel Caribe.

De enero a Junio cada quien estaba enfocado en su o sus proyectos, arrancamos con mis "famosos" To-do´s , los chats por yahoo, y luego los mejoramos al maximo por iniciativa de Frank y la introducción del Skype como herramienta de "feedback".
Luego el seminario estrategico en "Antigua Guatemala" aqui pulimos la herramienta y definimos cursos de acción ademas de conocer al equipo creciente del IG´s Club

despues de una muy intensa semana y media, regresé a Bogotá a continuar trabajando ya con Stella oficialmente como parte del equipo de la UNCTAD, es así, como me empezá a preparar para esta nueva etapa que estoy viviendo actualmente en SUECIA y mi Maestria aqui en Blekinge Tekneska Högskola -BTH, www.bth.se
asi pues que este nuevo ciclo y aprendizaje en el desarrollo sostenible a empezado y terminará en junio del 2006
